TRADITIONAL WORK
THE SEA MONSTER (2019)
A massive project I did during my first year of college. I used conte crayons to complete the piece (which the original measures 38 inches by 44 inches). I am still very proud of it! I based this off of two separate pieces: a Russian caviar dish made of silver that I had found in the Richmond Art Museum; and a statue of a diver my father (a retired Navy Seal) was given. The main point of this piece is the question, “Which is the true Sea Monster?”
BATTLE JACKET (GOSTELOWE’S FLAG) (2025)
I’ve been slowly working on a battle jacket - something I am wanting to use to help train myself with being patient with projects that take a long time. I’ve always struggled a bit with that which can be a blessing as well as a curse. I can churn stuff out like nobody’s business, but I tend to lose motivation the longer a project takes.
ROACH (2022)
There was a time I wanted to explore an even zanier world concept, which is when I discovered BioPunk. I wanted to create a character based off of genetic mutations which is when I created Roach - a woman whose body is encrusted within the shell of some insectoid creature. I called her species “Pseudo-Daemons”, people augmented with these insects which emerged from the depths of Hell. I did not go too far with the world, but I may revisit it again in the future.
SNOM (2024)
I created this piece as a Christmas gift fopr my girlfriend. Funnily enough, I am not too big of a Pokemon fan, but I do think some of the designs are cute! This was one of the first traditional pieces I had done in a couple years since I do more digital work. I also used this as an oppurtunity to try painting with a black canvas too which was a fun experience!
SOLDIER’S KEEP (2022)
A piece I created to demonstrate the effects of light and shadow in my college painting class. We had to create our own display and paint it while also showcasing how several light sources of different colors affected the scene. I chose to make a scene showing the posessions of a 1900’s soldier.
